Got Called for Jury Duty It Was Cancelled So Was Called Again

For some reason I get called for Jury Duty, Since I registered to vote at 18 until now , I have been chosen x times... Which is alot information technology seem to me.
I accept never served on a Jury though..
They will not choice me due my brother existence a retired deputy, and our close friends are both in law enforcement... When filling out the questionnaire I always check the box for yes... and so I notwithstanding get chosen, even though I know that they are not going to cull me....the minute they ask me if I know anyone in law enforcement, my answer is aye, Who my brother, and our good friends ... then they tell me I'g excused... then I have wasted a whole day, sitting around waiting to be excused...
They know this from the online questionnaire.. Why do they make me become in to answer something that they already know in accelerate, its like it'due south for evidence... Why bother making me come in there, when they know that they are going to alibi me. I gauge just because you know someone in law enforcement they see as you tin not make a unbiased decision and recollect for yourself.
I would gladly serve, and I would feel information technology would be a honor to serve...

four times. Once I got to serve and was appointed the Foreman which was fun. I beloved doing Jury Duty but I doubt I will exist called again at my historic period.

I received a detect nigh jury duty virtually 8 times. We call a number the afternoon before to run across if we demand to report. I only had to study once. My number was among the first to be chosen for voir dire, simply I was excused by the defence attorney without explanation.

Only once. I worked in insurance back then and I was chosen for civil rather than criminal and then I wasn't picked equally the visitor I worked for did concern with some of the attorneys involved in the case.

I've been called 4 times. The first fourth dimension, I was excused from the whole thing because nosotros'd Just adopted our first child. For the other times, I had to call a number the night before to notice out if I would need to report. I've never had to really report.
Our county does it strangely. You're not on telephone call for a whole week. You lot're "in the pool" for something like half-dozen consecutive Wednesdays. If you become chosen, and so you have to stay for the duration of the trial, but otherwise, yous're off the claw till the adjacent calendar week. (It kind of eats upward a lot of fourth dimension -- you can't really programme annihilation because you MIGHT take jury duty.
I don't know what kind of procedure they utilise for picking jurors. My parents and sis'south family live in the same county. I've been called four times. My mom has been called twice. My dad, my husband, my sister and brother-in-law accept never been called.

Way besides many times imo. But that'due south but because I'grand a freelancer with no vacation, sick or jury duty time. I merely earn money when I actually work on a job. So serving on a jury can easily cost me a full week's paycheck or far more. Jury duty pay is like $12 a day - so that's non going to pay the bills. 
Information technology's very difficult financially, as courts and admin staff assumes that everyone gets "jury duty" time off. If I was an employee, I wouldn't mind serving at all.

4 times......served twice. One was dismissed afterwards one 24-hour interval, the other lasted a calendar week

3 times that I tin remember; the about recent being a good 10 years or and then ago. Never fabricated it onto a jury though. I'd be happy to serve if I could.
