IU and eleven more wrote are credited as writers on "Christmas Wishes", a collaboration between Park Ji-yoon (pictured in 2012), Lim Kim, jaein Jang and Puer Kim.
South Korean vocaliser-songwriter IU (Lee Ji-eun) has been credited for writing more than fifty songs over the course of her career, including music for her career as a solo musician, songs for other performers and various songs for move picture.[one] The singer debuted in September 2008 with the single "Lost Kid" and the afterward released extended play (EP) Lost and Found.[2] The EP was completely written by Choi Gap-won and produced by numerous people.[3]
The first song credited to IU was "Alone in the Room", a song from her third extended play Real, released in 2010.[4] With the release of her second studio album Concluding Fantasy (2011) she started to take more than creative command over the music, writing six of the thirteen full tracks.[v] [6] The following studio album Modern Times (2013) and its rerelease Modernistic Times – Epilogue (2013) were besides by and large written by IU and South Korean lyricist Kim Eana, who previously wrote multiple tracks on Last Fantasy.[7] Her subsequent releases Chat-Shire (2015)[8] and Palette (2017) were most written all by herself, with help from multiple feature artists, including Zion.T, G-Dragon and Oh Hyuk.[9] [x] Her fifth extended play Love Poem was entirely written past her, with two tracks— "The Visitor" and "Blueming", being produced past her.[eleven] IU wrote and performed multiple songs for various Southward Korean films and Korean drama'south, including The Producers, My Mister, Bel Ami and Hotel Del Luna. Sixteen tracks written by the singer, have been released as singles, with 11 of those reaching the acme of the Gaon Digital Chart, including "Through the Nighttime", the quaternary best-selling singles in South Korea with more than five million sales.[12] [13]
IU's work exterior of her ain catalogue has been minimal. She is credited for writing seven tracks, she did not record.
